Through the analysis of the operation energy consumption of the existing outdoor air units,a new outdoor air unit with by-pass ventilation ducts is proposed in this paper.Taking an office building in Chengdu as an example, based on the distribution of outdoor air dry bulb temperature,PM2.5 concentration, and outdoor air specific enthalpy, the change of annual operation energy consumption of the outdoor air unit under different operation modes is studied. The results show that the annual energy saving rate of the by-pass surface cooler is 3.56%,and the annual energy saving rate of the by-pass filter is 24.29%.The research results can provide a direction for the energy saving design of outdoor air units and a new idea for the design of outdoor air systems.
